It’s time for Ten on the 10th! I am so excited to be a part of this fun event!
10 bloggers. Each sharing ideas for under $10. Every month on the tenth. I can’t wait to see everyone else’s ideas. I’m like a kid on Christmas morning!
When I was asked to be apart of Ten on the 10th all sorts of ideas ran through my mind, but the one that I kept coming back to was Neodymium Disc Magnets. Have I lost you yet?
Why neodymium magnets? They are super strong. They work with metals, attach through clothing and through glass. We are talking the strongest of strong magnets here, which makes them perfect to use in your home!
Seriously, I use these all over the place. All of the time! I bought these at Northern Tools for for $6.98 for ten magnets. I generally use the magnets when I want to attach something, but don’t want to do so permanently. I use magnets in all of the ordinary places that you would think about, but also use them in a few you might not. Here are just a few of the things I use them for:
An antique bowl to hold my sewing pins. Just attach the magnet to the bottom of the bowl with silicone.
Have you ever wanted to hang a curtain or valance onto a door, but didn’t want to put holes in the door?
Most blinds have a metal header at the top. Simply glue on a magnet to the valance with fabric glue. Once the glue has dried, attach the valance to the metal header. No holes in your door!
Custom magnets to hold photos and recipes to this ceiling tile in my kitchen! Simply glue the magnet to the back of the embellishment using E600.
These magnets also help create wine glass markers! Simply glue a magnet to the item of your choice to make a marker.
Place the marker up to your glass and place another magnet onto the inside of the glass. Instant marker.
Personalized cat and dog canisters. I attached the frames the same way I did the wine glass markers.
Want to add a little bling to a lamp, but don’t want to drill holes?
Use a magnet!
And last, but not least, my husband uses the magnets to help with stubborn collars that want to curl up on his dress shirts.
Yep, you read that right! He simply slides a magnet into the pocket that holds collar stays on the underside of his shirt collar. Then places another on the inside of his shirt.
That’s just a few of the ways I use these magnets, trust me they are one of my very favorite things to use here at the castle!
Now that you’ve seen my tip for Ten on the 10th, be sure to check out the other 9 fun bloggers for their ideas!
