A Woodland Baby Shower

Woodland animal balloon wall

This past weekend, my sister and I gave our niece a woodland baby shower.

My niece chose a nursery theme that  is filled with pretty colors of navy, gray, and orange and has the cutest little fox character you’ve ever seen.

Naturally, when we were deciding what theme to use we decided on the Woodland theme.

Shower Shopping

We found these adorable plates and napkins and everything else for the shower just fell into place!

The Tables

The shower was held at my sister’s church hall where she Pastors.

We wanted a rustic look, but wanted it to be colorful as well.

The church had black tablecloths which were perfect since colors pop off of them so well.

For the centerpieces we started with a burlap table runner, then added our Woodland animal centerpieces.

Each table had a different woodland animal.

The Food Table

The food table was a work of art if I do say so myself!

Again, black tablecloths, burlap runners and green leaf garlands were the perfect base for the food.

A two tiered tray with” birch logs” was placed in the center of the table.

The birch logs are really just  pretzels dipped in white chocolate.

For a little fun, each food item was given a “woodsy” name.

Aren’t the signs in front of the food super cute?

My sister bought a set of 12  wooden place card holders to put in front of each food item.

The Trash Panda Mix was served in these cute small square sacks.

They were a big hit!

A big variety of food was served, including this “quilled cheese” porcupine shaped cheese ball.

Instead of a cake, my niece requested these sly fox decorated sugar cookies.

Various fruits, such as watermelon, grapes, strawberries and raspberries were served with fluff dip.

We also made one of the prettiest charcuterie boards you ever seen.

But did I get a picture of it?

No.

Sadly, I did not!

The Gift Table

Who doesn’t love a pretty gift table?

We started with a large sheet of paper that had a wood pattern.

Then taped woodland animals that we drew and painted to the paper.

A large balloon arch was added around the backdrop to hide all of the edges and add a little wow factor.

The Woodland baby shower was a success!

I think all who attended had fun, great snacks were served and my niece received so many wonderful gifts.

Now for the hard part.

Waiting for Mateo to get here.

Until next time…

Tammy
