There are bats at the Castle! I have been busy pulling out the fall and Halloween decor. Maybe it’s the cooler temperatures that have me in a fall mood.
I know it’s really early to be thinking of Halloween, but I see pumpkins and loose my head! Besides, now is the time to get crafty for the up coming fall season. My sweet friend, Siana, sent me a picture of a Halloween wreath and told me that I needed to make it. So I did!
This is the photo she sent me. Michelle over at Crafty Morning made this cute Glowing Spooky Halloween Wreath. She said she got her inspiration from Ann Morel on Pinterest. I love it when women share and inspire others!
Supplies:
A wreath. I already had this 12″ wire frame one so I used it.
Lots and lots of orange tulle, I think I used six rolls from Michaels. Three were regular orange tulle and three were glitter orange. I cut the tulle in lengths of 12″, which were entirely too long for this wreath. You could easily go 9 or 10″ lengths.
Once my tulle was cut, I simply tied the tulle onto my wreath form. Get comfy watching TV or listening to music, as this takes a little while. Also, the glitter spreads everywhere!!!!
This is my finished wreath before decorating it.
Now it was time for the fun part – decorating it!
I love for my outdoor Halloween decor to be seen both during the day and at night. Thank goodness for battery packed string lights. These lights have a timer! Simply turn them on and they will turn themselves off 8 hours later.
I wound the lights through the wreath and tied the battery pack to the back of the wreath with a ribbon.
A bow made of several different Halloween themed ribbons and my wreath was finished!
So how does it look at night? I think it looks pretty cool.
There really are bats at the castle! Along with glitter everywhere, that I suspect is going to take forever to get rid of.
Halloween season can’t get here fast enough. I’m ready to hang up my new wreath.
Have great day!
