The Hubs and I made a quick trip to Oklahoma to celebrate Beep’s 1st birthday. It’s hard to believe that she’s already a year old. For those of you who don’t know, Beep is my great niece. And we are all in love with her!
The theme of Beep’s birthday was Boho Wild One. Which for me, meant lots of turquoise, flowers, arrows, feathers, tee pees and a ton of color! I have to say, it was a very fun theme which I would love to share with you. Or, at the very least, the highlights!
My sister, Beep’s Granny, is a minister at a small country church.
The church has a brand new building that is perfect for large groups.
It has a kitchen, a social area with a ton of tables, a stage for music groups and a food pantry.
In other words, it was the perfect place for Beeps party!
Beep’s Granny stained a couple of wooden flats for us to decorate.
I think that this was probably my very favorite part of the decor.
Not only was it was a great backdrop for all of the color, it was also super cheap.
The tee pee I made was a hit with Beep. Yay!
We used it to house all of Beeps gifts during the party.
Not only is it cute, but it’s practical too!
My niece had the tables decorated with cute centerpieces filled with flowers and feathers.
Of course, we had a little bling sprinkled around the table!
She alternated turquoise tables with blush pink tables.
Super cute!
My niece, Laura made the cake.
Strawberry on the inside, turquoise butter cream on the outside.
I hate to admit it, but you all know what happened to my diet!
Along with a ton of food, Laura also had a cupcake tower.
Aren’t these the cutest “wild one” cupcakes?
Beep’s parents gave her this remote controlled car for her birthday.
Beep had her first “date” in this car.
There was a little boy at the party that LOVED that car.
He gave Beep a couple of rides in it.
I’m not sure that Beep’s Daddy was as amused as the rest of us.
This is my favorite picture of my niece, Laura, and Beep.
Needless to say, that head dress lasted just long enough for the pictures to be taken and then it was promptly thrown to the floor.
Although, to my surprise, the tutu made it through Beep “smashing the cake”.
Obviously, Beep’s 1st birthday party was definitely a wild one.
Until next time….
