A few days ago I decided I needed to rearrange my TV Wall in my living room. I’ll be sharing that with you later this week. Which led to me using the dishes that I had above my TV in my breakfast room. Which led to me decorating my table and hutch for Summer. So today I am sharing my blue and yellow Summer breakfast room.
If you look closely you can see the dishes that used to be above the TV are now above my hutch.
I started off by placing this white table runner down the center of my table.
For a centerpiece I used a wooden tray, a faux boxwood arrangement with a few lemons sprinkled around it.
Each place setting has a woven yellow placemat, with a white hobnail plate.
The napkins and napkin rings were a gift from a friend many years ago.
I have always loved the color combination.
They fit this theme perfectly!
Southern Living at Home Silverware and dark blue Italian glasses finished off this simple, yet colorful place setting.
I love these colors in my breakfasts room and wonder why I haven’t used them in here before now?
Of course, the hutch needed a hint of yellow and blue too.
I added this pretty, crisp lemon tea towel.
As well as adding the fresh squeezed lemon sign and faux lemons.
And last, but not least, this hand drawn lemon art finished up the Summer decor on the hutch.
Considering that this refresh wasn’t planned I think that my blue and yellow Summer breakfast room turned out pretty well.
I love how the blue and yellow really make the room feel like Summer time to me.
And I also love the simplicity of it.
Less to dust, leaves me more time for outside fun.
Check back in on Friday when I will be sharing my newly decorated TV wall.
Until next time….
