Today on Decorate With Us, the Christmas series, we are sharing how we are decorating a Christmas mantle. Terrie from Decorate and More With Tip, Corine from Junk To Gems and I all have videos showing you just how we did it here.
As promised on the video, I’m sharing not only my mantle but where I purchased a few of the decor items used to decorate it.
So let’s get started!
The Garland and the Candles
The first thing I always do after cleaning my mantle is put on the greenery.
There are two things I do that make putting the greenery on the mantle super simple.
Number 1
The first is Command hooks.
I use these on both ends and the middle of the mantle.
It makes securing the garland a breeze!
Number 2
These remote control plug-in adapters.
Whoever invented these are truly genius!
Since I have a plug-in on my mantle it makes lighting my greenery super easy.
As easy as the click of a button.
I also use these to light my tree ,my indoor lights and my outdoor lights.
Add The Fun Stuff
Once the garland is up, it’s time to add in the fun stuff.
It’s hard to see but I added in this pretty white pom and tassel garland below my greenery.
I added brass candlesticks to the right side of the mantle.
I think I’ve had these since I got married – which was forever ago.
On the left side of the mantle is something a little unexpected.
I am so impressed with these stars!
The quality is so good.
I can’t say enough good things about them.
All of my ribbon this year came from either Hobby Lobby or The Wreath Shop.
The Stockings
All that was left to do was add in my stockings.
This year I made large red tags to hang on my stockings and I love them.

Decorating a Christmas mantle can be so easy, look good and be economical.
I know that it passed with flying colors when my youngest son told me that it ” looked good in a weird magazine kinda way.! lol!
Believe it or not that’s high praise.
