Dollar Tree Lantern Craft

Good Monday morning to you! My friend Terrie from Decorate and More With Tip and I are sharing a Christmas craft with you today. I’ve got the cutest little Dollar Tree lantern craft that I promise anyone can make!

Supplies

DollarTree Lantern

DollarTree candlestick

Ribbon

Black Spray Paint in Satin

Mod Podge

Faux Snow

Gold Paint or Rub n Buff

Paint brush

Step 1

Spray paint your candlestick with black spray paint to match the lantern.

I used satin and it matched perfectly.

Step 2

Using a paint brush, paint mod Podge onto the lantern face wherever you want your snow to be.

I stippled Mod Podge onto the trees and at the base of the deer.

While the Mod Podge is still wet, sprinkle on your faux snow.

Let dry.

Gently shake off any excess snow.

Repeat this step on the back side of the lantern.

Once you have the snow applied this is what it will look like.

Step 3

To zhuz up the lantern and give it some depth and dimension I added gold paint to the raised areas.

Simple put a little paint on your finger and rub it on!

I did the same thing with the candlestick.

Step 4

Using the ribbon of your choice, make a bow and add it to your candlestick.

Step 5

Place your lantern on top of your candlestick and decorate with it!

This Dollar Tree lantern craft was so easy, anyone can make it.

I love it and can’t wait to decorate with it.

Now please join me in visiting Terrie to see how she made these beautiful Dollar Tree Jingle Bells.
