Hey good Fri-yayyy! Today is the last day we will be sharing our living rooms on Decorate With Us the Fall series. My friend Terrie and I are styling our living room Fall mantle. For me when the kitchen and living room are decorated -for whatever season or holiday – then I know it’s almost time to sit back, relax and enjoy the season. Woo Hoo!
My Fall mantle, just like the rest of my house this year, is simple and ties in with my everyday decor.
Last year I had a mirror that I kept on my mantle year round.
When I gave my bedroom a refresh I moved the mirror into the bedroom with plans to place a nice piece of art over my mantle.
I’m still searching for the perfect piece.
So, when it came time to put up my Fall decor I needed something for this space.
I found the wooden cut out “hello fall” at Hobby Lobby, gave it an ombre paint technique and glued it to a canvas.
Once that was done I popped it into a gold frame and attached a pretty berry garland to it!
Easy peasy.
I’ll share how to make this with you tomorrow.
On the right hand side of the mantle I added a tall candlestick that I’ve had for years.
I purchased it from Southern Living At Home.
The brass candlestick was a wedding present
You can find a similar one here.
The velvet pumpkins I’ve collected over the years here and there.
Again, you can get some similar here.
The left side of the mantle is pretty much like the right.
Pumpkins, foliage and candles!
I found all of the foliage at Hobby Lobby however I couldn’t find any on-line links.
If you like the leopard velvet pumpkin here is a similar one for you.
While I do have candles on the mantle, since they are candlesticks I rarely light them.
However, I do love the soft glow of low lighting in the evenings.
To get this look I threaded a strand of fairy lights through the berry garland that stretches across the mantle.
This mantle looks it’s best at night for sure!
Now for my hearth decor.
This is where I usually go crazy placing pumpkins all over the place, spilling out onto the floor.
I keep reminding myself to go simple this year, so I added a stack of candles surrounded by fall foliage inside the candle and tied a turquoise bow to the outside.
The turquoise bow brings the turquoise that is in the rest of the room to my mantle.
That wraps up my mantle decor.
If you ‘d like to see more of my living room check out my Face Book page where I have a video of my mantle with sneak peaks of the rest of the room.
Also, be sure and head over to Terrie’s to see her mantle.
It’s absolutely gorgeous and make me want to throw my “simple” decor out the window and go for fabulous and bold.
