Can you believe that it’s already Memorial Day? I don’t normally decorate for Memorial Day as we aren’t usually at home, however this year we will be. I decorated the back porch for Memorial Day. So I thought that surely I could throw together a last minute Memorial Day front porch!
I found these cute metal star stakes at the Dollar Tree and knew that I wanted to add them to my planters.
Once those were in, I added a couple of American flags and my planters were good to go.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a patriotic themed charm for my home sign.
I did, however, have this charm that lets you add a picture.
So I did a quick drawing of some fireworks and stars.
It works for this year, but I will be sure to keep an eye out for the perfect one for next year!
Next up, something for the door!
My old wreath had seen better days, so I really had nothing to put here.
I didn’t want to spend the time shopping or the money for something last minute that I might not like.
I’ve had this white door bucket for a long time.
With a little digging in the patriotic bucket of decor I found some red geraniums and some white hydrangeas.
I added in a few fun red, white and blue sparkle picks, an American flag and a fun Pinwheel and my door bucket was complete.
Not bad for a five minute project!
My last minute Memorial Day front porch turned out pretty cute.
I love that I spent a total of $6.00 on the entire front porch and it took me less than an hour to put together.
That’s a big win in my book.
I was surprised, but I have really enjoyed decorating for a holiday that I normally would just pass over in the decor department.
So much so, that I feel that I may have created a monster.
I’m already planning what I can decorate with next year!
Until next time…..
