I have the cutest little bunny on the front porch! Not a real bunny, thank goodness, but a bunny door hanger.
My friend, Roxanne, and I went to lunch yesterday. After lunch we decided to stop in World Market and check out their Easter goodies. They had such cute bunnies and pigs! This little pig cracks me up!
I couldn’t resist bringing this bunny door hanger home. I love all the twigs, the chicken wire and the tiny green leaves!
His tummy is a bowl that would be perfect for holding flowers, eggs, and birds.
The possibilities are endless.
He is so cute my BFF Roxanne bought one to decorate for herself too!
The first thing I added to my bunny was some shredded brown paper.
I went back and forth on whether to use brown or multicolored paper.
As you can see the brown won out.
The brown just seemed more natural.
Next, a few spring white flowers.
It’s just not spring or Easter without flowers!
Now it was time for a little color.
I LOVE Easter eggs! Don’t you?
I added a few eggs at the base of the flowers.
Once I had the eggs and flowers put together, it was time for a pretty ribbon!
Since my cute little bunny on the front porch is a boy, I tied my favorite blue, green and white plaid ribbon around his neck.
I am crushing on this ribbon right now. Aren’t those colors pretty together?
At this point, I was happy with my bunny.
I just wanted a tiny little bit more color, so I added a soft blue rick-rack.
I couldn’t be happier with my Easter bunny door hanger.
It makes me happy every time I see it!
On a side note, I plan on painting my front door this weekend. Finally! It so needs it.
I’ve been talking about it since last summer.
I kept going back and forth on the color. Turquoise or Navy?
I finally closed my eyes, tossed a coin and let the chips fall where they may!
Cross your fingers that it doesn’t rain!
Until next time….
