If you craft at all, then you are probably a lot like me. You have quite a bit of “leftovers” from past projects. I decided that making gift tags with leftovers would be a good way to clean out my office.
I was looking through my wrapping paper, trying to decide if I needed any new paper and realized that maybe, instead of buying new stuff this year, I might need to use up what I’ve already got.
Then I had an epiphany, what better way to use up some of the craft leftovers than by making gift tags to match my paper?
Using my Cricket cutting machine, I cut paper tags out of leftover card stock. I also had these white tag board round tags along with a ton of markers!
I was all set to decorate.
I have to confess that this was so therapeutic. My five year old self came out. I drew, used markers, glue, glitter, ribbons and bells.
This was so much fun! Wouldn’t this be a great project to do with your children or friends? The tags took very little time to put together once I had all my supplies out.
Here are just a few of my designs that I ended up with. Are they professional looking? Nope. But that’s okay. Not only did I clear out my leftovers, I had fun and created something useful. That’s a win in my book.
Another bonus is that they are a custom match for my leftover ribbon and paper from years past.
It occurred to me that these fun tags tied to a fun roll of wrapping paper would make great gifts for friends.
I’m giving myself a pat on the back. Making gift tags from leftovers was so much fun and my craft room is looking pretty good too!
Until next time…
