Happy Thursday all! Today on One Room at a Time Corine, Teresa, Terrie and I are all sharing our Master bedroom bedding with you. And if there is one thing I love, it’s pretty bedding.
There are few things that make me feel warm and fuzzy like a prettily made up bed.
So let’s get started!
Bedspread
When deciding my bed decor it all starts with a quality Matelasse’ quilt.
I found mine years ago at Steinmart, however I’ve found one very similar for you here.
However, you can find them at most places that sell bedding in all stitch styles and colors.
Next I found this duvet and shams here.
I love that it has a lot of color but it’s muted giving it an almost spa like feel.
And it’s on sale right now!
Sheets
I love, love, love a great set of sheets.
Normally I look for sheets with a high natural fiber count.
I love cotton.
However, during Prime Days several bloggers recommended these Microfiber sheets sets.
I was a little reluctant to try them because Microfiber sheets can feel like plastic and usually sleep hot.
But with the rave reviews and the great price point I decided to give them a try.
They ARE super soft and do not feel like plastic at all.
I’ll keep you updated on how they sleep.
Pillows
How many pillows on a bed is too many?
I’m not sure there is a hard and fast rule about the number, but I do like to keep it to them taking up no more than 1/3 of the bed or it tends to make the bed look super short and wide.
I made 3 pillows to go on the bed, if you want to see what fabric etc. go back to this post.
I love layering pillows so the final pillow was a mongolian sheep skin pillow that I found years ago at AT Home.
So what does a bed look like when you add all of the items I mentioned above?
It looks like this!
For me this bed is inviting, fluffy, and looks super comfortable.
Which is how our master bedroom bedding should make us feel!
So, if nothing else, this part of my master bedroom refresh made the whole room redo worth it!
Be sure and check back tomorrow when we are sharing the final room reveal!
Also, check in with the other ladies and see what their bedding looks like, I’m headed there right now.
