I’m not getting anything done here at the castle! I’ve got about a thousand irons in the fire. All in different stages of completion.
Last weeks cold kept me down for the count, however I’m feeling better and hoping to put out all of the little fires this week.
Remember last week I shared that plans were in the works for updating our guest bathrooms?
If not you can see that here.
I have hated the linoleum floors in both of the upstairs bathrooms for the 13 years we’ve been in this house.
The tan color always looked dirty to me!
I’m happy to say that after a few days of work this weekend we are almost done. Girl Squeal!
You notice I said almost done.
We removed the toilet to rip out the old floor and add the tile.
Which required capping off the water line.
However, somehow in the process we had a leak.
The wet wooden underlayment has to dry before we can finish up the bathroom.
It’s like watching water boil for me. Hurry, hurry up!
While the floor was drying I decided to recover these barstools that a friend gave me.
My first thought was to recover them with a drop cloth fabric with some chunky nail heads.
However, my youngest was in need of a couple of barstools and my plans were not his style.
His pick?
Alligator leather. In black.
Everything was going so well.
Until I broke my last sewing machine needle.
Hopefully, after a quick trip to the fabric store, I will finish these up tomorrow.
Sigh.
I decided to go to the grocery and a little guest bathroom shopping this morning.
I found the prettiest mirror.
In duck egg blue, not white.
Rumor has it that I do know how to paint it.
I was just hoping to find one already done.
Nope.
So tomorrow when I pick up a sewing needle, I’ll swing by the paint store and pick up the perfect white paint.
Are you seeing a pattern here?
To complete my day I decided to weed a few flower beds. Work off a few of my frustrations.
Only one problem. I’m out of outdoor trash bags. Totally not getting anything done!
Guess I’ll add that to my list. After all, tomorrow is another day!
Until next time…..
