Pumpkins in the Entry

Fall decor in the entry

Happy first day of fall decorating! Can you believe that it’s that time already? Seems like we just finished with Christmas. And even though it is 107 degrees here today, I’m hoping that putting pumpkins in my entry will make me feel like fall is around the corner! Fingers crossed.

Let’s start at the beginning.

Normally I start decorating in the middle and work my way out.

However, this year I decided to anchor both ends and work to the middle.

There is a lamp that stays on the left side, so I placed a large vase on the right hand side.

It is filled with fall flowers.

In the middle I placed two raffia pumpkins.

Then placed more blue and white vases around them.

Once I had the main things on the cabinet, it was time to add a little “jewelry”.

This large wooden acorn was a perfect hole filler.

Rust and white berry garland twisted through the vignette ties it all together.

Orange leather leaves sprinkled here and there complete the top of the cabinets decor.

The cabinet has shelving and the shelves are prime real estate for decorating.

The baskets always stay due to the fact that I use them for storage.

A few blue ribbons give them a fall vibe.

Since the shelves are dark, I left the gold decor that I use year round and added in pumpkins for color.

The last thing I added fall touches to was the chair.

A rust throw blanket and a green and white pillow and my little chair was ready for fall.

I hoped that you enjoyed seeing how I added pumpkins the entry.

If you want to see how I did it in a video, you can see it here.

Also, pop on over to Terrie’s to see her entry way!
