Summer Flamingo Table

tropical ribbon

Last week I shared with you our love of eating Alfresco and doing it in a beautiful, easy, inexpensive and time saving way. Mama wants to eat not decorate the table all day! So today I’m sharing my Summer Flamingo table with you.

It all started with this ribbon that I found on sale.

I loved the bold, bright beautiful colors.

The ribbon reminded me of this set of pillows that I have on the back seating area.

Again, so pretty with all of the fun colors.

The reverse side of this pillow has – you guessed it – a flamingo.

Since I already had flamingo plates, it only stood to reason that my next table would be one that featured flamingos.

Step 1

The placesetting.

I started with this bright, sunny yellow placemat.

Next I layered a white hob nail plate with a hot pink floral melamine salad plate.

Then I added these sweet flamingo dessert plates.

For flatware I used the same set I did last week only using different colors.

Aren’t these hot pink and orange utensils perfect?

The bright turquoise napkins paired perfectly with the wooden bead napkin rings that I found on sale earlier this month.

Yes, these are the same napkin rings that I made a beaded garland with and used to hang a chalkboard sign!

Shocking that I would actually use them as intended, yes?

Step 2

Add cute and colorful glasses.

These cute insulated tumblers came from WalMart.

They are from a company called Packed Party.

I love everything that they do as it is so festive.

No fun drink on a flamingo table would be complete without a few embellishments.

Here we have added a fun umbrella, a tropical stir sticks and a flamingo straw.

In the center of the table I places more of the tropical stir sticks in an old milk jar for color and just in case anyone might need an extra.

I did the same with the flamingo straws!

Step 3

The centerpiece.

I grabbed an old ice bucket, threw in Matilda Jane, our resident flamingo and added flowers from my garden to finish it off.

It’s bold, fun, whimsical and makes a huge statement.

Once that was done, I added a colorful pom garland down the center of the table to tie everything together.

And just like that, my table was done!

And you know what?

It took less than 12 minutes to put this Summer flamingo table together!

I had everything here at the Castle so it cost me nothing.

Pretty, fun and inexpensive?

My kind of table!

Be sure to check back next week to see what the next Summer table looks like!

Until then….
