Valentine’s Day Charger

Hey friends! I’ve got a quick, easy, inexpensive and fun Valentine’s Day Charger craft for you.

I don’t do a lot of decorating for Valentine’s Day, but I do like to do a few fun things here and there.

For that reason, I don’t want to spend a lot of money on my decor.

So I do a lot of Dollar Tree, WalMart and Target projects.

Supplies

Chargers – I used one from the Dollar Tree for this project

Acrylic Paint – colors of your choice. I used red and pink.

Paint brushes

Acrylic Paint Pens – I used these and these for this project.

Chalk Pencil

Step 1

Lightly sand your charger.

Clean and give the charger a couple of coats of paint.

Once the paint was dry, using the chalk pencil, lightly draw on your design.

Have fun with this part, it doesn’t have to be perfect.

AND if you mess up the design it easily erases because it’s chalk!

Step 2

Using your white paint markers paint over your chalk design.

I used a medium point white pen and a chisel white paint pen.

Here’s what it looks like after a couple of coats.

I went ahead and painted the hearts white because it would help my red paint show up better.

Step 3

Using a paint brush paint the hearts red.

Step 4

Once the red paint has dried, I grabbed a black paint pen and started adding fun detail and outlining the lettering.

Step 5

I used a holographic glitter paint and added glitter here and there over the design.

This is the final result of my Valentine’s Day Charger project.

I think it looks super cute as a sign to display.

AND as a bonus it looks super cute as an actual charger for your Valentine’s Day place setting!

This project was so much fun and easy that I may be making a few more!

Definitely my kind of project!

Until next time…

Tammy
