After sharing my chalkboard ghosts with you, I couldn’t wait to show you Halloween in the dining room.
We love Halloween here at the castle so we decorate the house in a huge way. This year is no exception! My dining room is the first room you see as you enter my home, so it its the perfect place to make a big statement.
I started my table decor with an orange and white polka dot runner. Then added my centerpiece, a few metal pumpkins and some Halloween confetti.
The past few years I have used this metal witches hat as my centerpiece. Same hat every year, just different decorations on the hat. This year I’m really into the black and white striped ribbon. I love it! It looks great with every color. This witch’s hat may be cute, but it has it’s scary elements. No witch’s hat would be complete without eyeballs, skeleton hands, creepy insects and a special wand.
Each place setting has many layers and each is slightly different. The placemats are either black rectangles with rhinestone spider webs or green, pink or orange woven circle mats. I used orange metallic chargers at each place. The fun glasses are all hand painted with a Halloween theme.
I love a big soft napkin. One of my favorite things to use as a napkin is a bandana! Not only are they big and soft, but they come in a ton of patterns and colors. Plus, you can’t beat the price. The napkin rings are simple black ribbons with creepy, shiny spiders in green, orange and purple.
My place cards are chalkboard ghosts. If you missed how I made those, you can see how here. They really are one of my very favorite additions this year. They make me smile every time I see their silly faces.
Halloween in the dining room is so much fun this year. Now we just need a few spooky guests for dinner!
