Decorating for St. Patrick’s Day
I know it’s a little early to be decorating for St. Patrick’s Day, but I’m seriously ready for spring!
Monday it was so cold, in the 30’s. Today is a breezy 78! My Brella app told me to break out the shorts and flip flops to wear with my crown. I’m loving it!
Of course, one of the first things I decorated was my chalkboard and kitchen area.
When I see the Oxalis plants at the nursery, I know it’s time to decorate for St. Patrick’s Day. Woo Hoo!
Once I finished in the kitchen, I moved to the front porch.
I thought I had a wreath to go with my garden flag, but couldn’t find one.
Clearly, it was time to make a new one!
Brittany the Certified Celebrator was my inspiration for this one. Her St. Patrick’s Day wreath was super cute. I thought that I would try making a similar one.
Aren’t these glittery shamrocks from the Dollar Tree cute? I bought 3 packages to make sure I had enough for my project.
The wreath and the ribbon were leftovers from earlier projects.
The first thing I did was make a ribbon and glue it onto the wreath.
Normally, I would add the bow last.
However, this time I thought it would be easier to add it first.
This project is so easy to do.
Simply fold the shamrock in half, then put a small dot of hot glue in the center.
Press the shamrock onto the wreath.
I continued doing this, placing the shamrocks at random angles, until the wreath was full.
Once I was finished, I noticed that I had some holes on the sides.
To fill these holes in, I cut the shamrocks in half.
Then glued the partial shamrocks into the holes.
So cute!
Just looking at that bright green on the black door makes me happy!
A sure sign that spring is just around the corner!
Maybe I should have started decorating for St. Patrick’s Day a lot sooner.
Until next time…..

Ya know I’m a glitter phobe, but that wreath sure is cute! Love that flag too, hehe. I skipped right over both Valnetine’s and St Patrick’s (other than yard flags). I was ready for spring right after Christmas!
Rita I’m with you…. I am so ready for Spring. I have a feeling my Spring/Easter decor will be out soon!
Very pretty and festive! Love how you made the clovers look 3D. Visiting from Flaunt It Friday.
Welcome and thank you Victoria!
