Dress Up Flocked Bunnies
Good morning! Welcome to another Creative Craft Hop. Now that Spring is here I have been working on planning my Easter decor. Instead of buying a lot of new things I’ve decided to zuzh up some of the things I’ve used in the past. So today I’m going to dress up flocked bunnies!
This is really so simple that anyone – and I do mean anyone can do it.
I think it would be super fun to do a dress up flocked bunny party with the grands or your friends!
If you are coming here from Cecelia at My Thrift Store Addiction, I’m so happy that you are here!
A great big shout out to Sara at Birdz of a Feather and Donna of Modern on Monticello for hosting this hop each month.
Step 1
Grab the flocked bunny of your choice, ribbon, and embellishments.
I’ve found my bunnies in several different stores.
Hob Lob, Walmart and Home Goods.
As for Embellishments the sky’s the limit!
Ribbon, flowers, rhinestones, beads…. anything that fits in with your decor.
The Green Flocked Bunny
Remember I said that it was simple?
With the green bunny I simply untied the bow, added in a couple of sprigs from an Easter pic.
Then, tie the retied the ribbon.
For a little color I glued a purple egg to the flower bundle.
You could hot glue everything together, however I may want to change things up next year so no glue for me.
I tied it so tightly that those flowers aren’t going anywhere!
The Purple Bunny
The purple bunny’s bow was hot glued on, so using a heat gun, I removed the bow.
I tied a bundle of flowers, carrots and greenery together with twine.
Then glued the bundle to the ribbon around the bunnies neck.
Last step – glue the bow onto the bundle of flowers.
I love both bunnies.
I thought they were cute before, but now I want to dress up flocked bunnies all the time…lol!
Now please join me in visiting Rachel at Tea And Forget Me Nots to see her Easter Egg craft.
And then head on over to everyone else listed below for crafting goodness!
Until next time….
Too cute, Tammy! What a terrific idea to have a dress-up bunny party with the grands!
Wouldn’t it be fun to see how everyone decorates them?
Absolutely love your embellishments Tammy! Such a fun way to joush-up these adorable bunnies for Spring!
Thank you Sara!
Awe, how sweet! I love the upgrade you gave those bunnies. Simply adorable.
Thanks Terrie. Those bunnies are super fun.
Have those same bunnies love the way you embellished them. Thanks for the ideas.
You are so welcome Becky. You know I love a good embellishment! My husband says if it doesn’t move I will be decorating it. LOL
These are so adorable! I agree on not using hot glue so you can redesign them again and again. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Rachel! I change my mind so much on decor from year to year so hot glue was a no no.
Tammy, your dressed up bunnies are just adorable! I love that you gave new life to something you already have–pinned! Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction
I am enjoying this flocked bunny trend this year. I bought two last week, but I hadn’t thought about giving them a dress-up like yours. Thanks for the inspiration.
