Embellished Bee Glasses
Last week I shared my Bee themed table plans with you. I found these sweet stemless glasses that say “Bee Happy” at the Dollar Tree as well as dishes and ribbon. The glasses were super cute all on their own but you know I couldn’t resist add a couple of things that make for super cute embellished bee glasses!
Honestly, the embellishment part is super easy, but adds so much color and fun you will want to embellish a ton of glasses.
Supplies
Glass
Multi-surface or glass paint
Paint brush
New pencil with eraser
Step 1
Clean your glass.
I used soap and water, let the glass dry then cleaned the area that I planned to paint with rubbing alcohol.
Be sure and choose a multi-surface acrylic paint or a paint that is specifically made to use on glass.
I found this multi-surface paint at Michaels.
Step 2
Pour a small amount of paint onto a palette or paper plate.
Using a pencil with a new eraser, dip the eraser into paint, then gently place onto your glass.
This will leave perfectly round dots on your glasses!
Continue adding dots all the wa around your glass.
Step 3
Flip your glass over and paint the very bottom of the glass the color of your choice.
In this case, I chose a bright yellow.
It may take a few coats to get good coverage.
Let the paint dry completely.
Step 4
I wanted to add a little more embellishment to my glass, so I did a rick rack design on the edge of my painted yellow circles.
Let dry.
After giving you embellished bee glasses a few days to dry completely, you are ready to use your glass!
I couldn’t “Bee” happier!
Such a simple thing to add to a glass and yet it has a big impact!
I can’t wait to use them on my Bee themed table.
One last tip, you could add Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge to the painted parts of your glass to protect your painted area.
Better safe than sorry!
Until next time….
