Fall Centerpiece
I decided that less is more when it came to my dining room fall centerpiece this year.
I usually have a table set with all the bells and whistles. This year when it came time to decorate my fall table, I really longed for something a lot more simple. Clean lines, less clutter, but it still needed to have that wow factor too.
I won this bad boy at PoKeeno. SCORE! I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. I had no idea what I was going to do with it as it is pretty large. I just knew it needed to come home with me!
I envisioned putting white mums in this beautiful container and using it as my centerpiece for the dining room table. I rushed to Walmart, where I had purchased some mums this past weekend, only to find that they were sold out of mums. Completely! I guess I wasn’t the only one excited about buying mums!
I was leaving the garden department when I spotted these beautiful Lantana plants. I love the warm reds, oranges and yellows of the flowers. Beautiful summer flowers, but they have the warm colors of fall too. Sold!
Once the plants were placed in the container, there were a few “holes” that I filled with brown crinkle paper. I just like a finished look. Especially in a centerpiece for a dining room table where people dining will be looking right at it. It truly is the little things that count.
Once the plant was in place and the “holes” were all filled, I couldn’t resist adding this sweet little bird.
I placed a simple off white table runner on the table, then added my centerpiece. This arrangement is simple, but it has a big impact. It has the clean lines that I was looking for, but also has the fun, wow factor too.
I love how quick and easy it was to put together too. Who says that you have to spend a lot of time, money and lots of stuff to create a beautiful centerpiece?
I love this “minimalist” look. Which is unusual for me. Another great thing about this fall centerpiece? If I change my mind and want to add more decor to my fall table, this is an awesome fall centerpiece to start with!
