Fourth Of July Table
Can you believe that it’s June? Father’s Day is just days away and that means that the 4th of July is just around the corner! Which also means that I’m already planning my Fourth of July table. Nothing on my table cost more than $10.00.
Which is perfect as it’s Ten on the 10th, right? Except that’s WAY too much info for today’s post. So this will be a two part series. Today I’m sharing my red, white and blue banner with you.
A great big shout out to Benita at Chasing Quaintness for being the super hostess this month. She totally rocks!
I feel that this fits anyone who shops the Target Dollar Spot.
Can I get an amen?
I found so many wonderful things there for the 4th of July it’s shameful!
One of which was this super cute star banner for $3.00!
I loved the rustic look of the stars, except they didn’t quite go with my Fourth of July table.
Spray paint to the rescue!
Once they were painted, they were so stinking cute, however I wanted to give them a little something extra!
Y’all know I can’t resist a little glitter.
Even if I’m seeing the glitter everywhere for the next year or so!
So worth it!
Once all of the stars were dried, I restrung them on the jute string.
Then, I hung the banner on my white hutch which sits right behind my Fourth of July table!
I honestly could not be happier.
The best part? It only cost me around $4.00. Maybe.
I had the paint in my stash, so a dollar for the paint is a generous estimation.
Plus, you only need the skill level of a young child to do this project!
Woot, woot.
I promise the rest of the table is coming later this week, but for now, please join me in hopping over to my fellow Ten on the 10th bloggers sites to check out their wonderful projects!
Wow, your display is so charming, I love it! Nothing better than a little pop of color against a classic white background. Happy 4th!!
Thanks Kim! Happy 4th to you too!
That’s beautiful! So festive!
I love some good ol’ spray paint! Looks very festive. Happy 4th!
Tammy I love your table and all the July 4th touches you have in your area. Using the windmill on the plate is so cute. Love that idea. I am pinning this for inspiration for when I start to decorate my home.
Thank you so much Terrie! I can’t wait to see your decorations… love the inspo!
Tammy, I am addicted to the Target Dollar Spot! I bought some cute stuff when I was there (sitting on my paddle serving board) and almost bought the star banner! 🙂 I love what you did with this…patriotic and adorable! I may have to go back to get the banner and do some sort of napkin decoupage on it or something…so many ideas! Hugs!!
Giiirrrrllll… you know how dangerous and fun that Dollar Spot is! I love the idea of decoupaging them.. you are so right, so many ideas! Be sure and share what you come up with!
Tammy, reusing the stars in a new way is what creativity and DIY is all about. The banner turned out so cute. Can’t wait to see the second part of your decor.
Thanks Carol! It’s good to see that your electricity and internet is up and running. So happy for you!!
Tammy, this is a super idea to just take apart your banner and paint/sparkle it up!!! I have to go out later and I need milk so… Might have to stop over to Target! Lol!!! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your table post as you get there. 🙂 Love your hutch and all its white ironstone!!!
Happy summer,
Barb 🙂
Isn’t Target fun Barbara. Have fun and don’t get into too much trouble! lol!
Adorable. I love it. It would be cute layered over the bunting I made.
Thanks Katie! I love the idea of layering it over a bunting like yours!!!!
Isn’t it great when spray paint comes to the rescue? Your banner came out beautiful, but I must admit, glitter makes me crazy! I can’t wait to see the rest of the table, Tammy.
I have to admit Ann that spray paint is my best friend! I may regret the glitter….
