New Clock at the Castle
When we first moved into the castle 12 years ago, one of the first things that I added were new clocks.
I added them everywhere. In bathrooms, in bedrooms, in the game room and in the office. Totally obsessed! We had double the size of our home and it drove me crazy that I couldn’t see one central clock from most of the rooms in the house.
That’s definitely when my clock collection began.
One of the very first clocks I added was this one in our living room. It occurred to me a few days ago that this wall has been the same since we moved in! That’s 12 years. So not me. I don’t think I’ve ever left a decorated wall the same way for a quarter of that length of time. Ever. So not me!
It was time for a change!
This beauty was just hanging around in the very back of the rack at Home Goods. The minute I saw it, I knew it had to come home with me!
The new clock has everything that I could ever want. It’s big! The clock is french country in style. The black and off white color matches everything in my living area perfectly. And best of all, I told the Hubs that we will be 100 years old and still be able to read it! Ha ha!
One thing is for sure, the new clock here at the castle has made me look at my home with new eyes. How many other things are dated and need to be retired, reworked, rearranged or replaced?
Does this mean that I will be retiring all of my clocks? Probably not. However, I will put my decorating cap on and get busy! In the mean time, I’m so excited and pleased with my new clock!
