The Natural Gardener
The Natural Gardener is my new favorite nursery! Maybe my most favorite of all time!We made a day trip down to Austin, TX to see my eldest son. He had told me about finding a new nursery that he thought that I would love and boy was he right! If you want a nice “normal” quick stop for flowers this is not the place for you. Take yourself down to a big box store. But, if you want beautiful flowers, fun, whimsical garden art and unusual plants then this is your place.
This post is unusually long. So grab something to drink sit back and enjoy!!!
My first clue that this was going to be a fun place was this beautiful statue as you exited the parking lot.
The main building is pretty average looking, but once you walk inside you realize that this is certainly no ordinary garden center.
Need seeds? Two massive walls full of them.
If you are a fairy garden lover then this is the place to look for something new and unusual. The prices on the fairy garden stuff was actually very reasonable.
If you can’t find an usual birdhouse and bird feeder here then I don’t know where you would find one. They also have a ton of unusual lighting.
And chinese lanterns? All shapes, sizes, colors and patterns. Want solar lights? They got ’em. Plug in lights? They got ’em too!
Once you exit the main building, you wander through tables of flowers, herbs and shrubbery. The selection is amazing. Once you leave that area the fun really begins. They ACTUALLy garden here!
You name it and they probably grow it!
The grapes were beautiful!
At this point I just I was beginning to feel like I was in a secret garden. I just started following the path to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I was not disappointed.
I found all sorts of fun things tucked away and hidden. Dinosaurs…
Need a place to sit and drink some sweet tea and enjoy the view?
And my very favorite spot. The swing that was attached to the most amazing tree!
The path finally wound back around to the main building. The back was filled with amazing planters, stools, rugs and garden art.
Isn’t this garden shed awesome? I love all the bright colors! And these garden posts? I don’t think that there were any two the same. While I was checking out ( y’all know I had to buy a few things!) I saw two different people buying one of these!
I could only share a fraction of all the wonderful things at The Natural Gardener. My time was limited so my visit was short. I can’t wait to go back and spend a lot more time there – and I’m sure a lot more money! That beautiful swing is calling my name….
Until next time….
