Traditional Easter Entry
Happy Friday! It’s day two of Decorate For Easter. My friend Terrie from Decorate With Tip And More and I are decorating our entrys. This year I”m going for a more simple Easter decor, keeping my blue and white and adding in more warm golds. In other words I’m doing a traditional Easter entry!
Goals
My goal in here this year was to keep it simple, add in natural touches and warm brass tones while keeping my blue and white vases.
I removed all decor items that I wasn’t using in my Easter decor and gave the console a good cleaning.
I love using existing decor and giving it a little makeover or facelift if possible.
The first thing I did was change out the bow on my easter bunny wreath.
This green sating ribbon is so soft and pretty I couldn’t resist.
And I don’t even like green that much!
Since I have a pretty brass lamp on the left of the console, I needed to add some gold to the right side.
This beautiful brass bunny candle holder fit the bill.
Adding in more green ribbon tied the green color in to that side too.
In front of the candle holder I placed this foil Easter bunny that I’ve had for years.
You can no longer find it, however I did see some similar ones this year at HomeGoods.
In front of my blue and white vases I added in a gold tray, placed a golden egg filled with candy and filled the rest of the tray with soft pastel eggs.
That gold egg is new this year and I love it!
Remember I told you about the green ribbon I added to my bunny wreath?
I hung it on my mirror using a suction cup hook.
Love it!
On the lower shelves – again I wanted to keep it simple but add in color.
A bunny was added as well as a few stuffed carrots.
I love my traditional Easter entry!
And I think that I accomplished my goals of keeping it simple while adding in warm elements.
Now I can’t wait to move on to the next room!
Be sure to head on over to Terrie’s to see her entry.
