Why Am I In A Handbasket?

It has been so hot here in Texas. It’s hard to get in the mood to do projects when you just don’t want to leave the air conditioning. I recently did a little shopping at Gracie Lane in Arlington,TX. I found this sign: Where are we going? And why am I in a hand basket?

It reminds me of my Granny’s warning to us when ever someone was doing something she considered inappropriate. “They are going to hell in a hand basket!”

While I’m not doing anything inappropriate, I do identify with the where am I!  I’m all over the place and not getting much done. So what have I been doing?

Shopping! I also found these signs while I was shopping at Gracie Lane. I love all of them. The one that says Gather inspired me to do a project.  Not that I have done any actual work on the project, but I will get to it soon!

I haven’t been a complete slug. I have finished sewing my niece Laura’s baby bedding. Don’t you  love these colors? I can’t wait to see them in her nursery. 

Hanging around inside looking at all of the dust, I decided that I have too much stuff to be dusted! Time to get rid of anything that I haven’t sold in the past year or any unfinished project that I am probably never going to get around to.

I’ve done pretty well so far.

Since we haven’t been using our patio all that much during the day, I’ve been trying to enjoy it at night. I have a new phone AP. Sky View. I have had so much fun with it. Just open the AP and point your phone at the sky. It shows you where all of the stars and planets are right now.

In the photo above you can see Saturn and Sagittarius. I also found the space station flying around a few nights ago. There are always a few surprises!

So there you have it. I may have to go back and buy this sign! Where are we going? And why am I in a hand basket?

Well today, I’m staying home sitting in my hand basket! It’s just to hot to do anything else.
