Last Person to Give Advice

Okay, I’m going to give it to you straight. I’m the last person to give advice on fashion. Yet, here I am doing just that!ten on the 10th

It’s the Ten on the 10th! This months theme is Fashion. I have to admit that when I read the theme I almost took a hard pass until next month. On the girly scale I’m probably at the 30- 40% mark. Maybe! Let me give you a little background before I share my sage advice with you.

Like most Texas/Southern girls I like to look good.

I may be schlepping it in shorts and a T, but I will have my hair done and slapped on some mascara and lip gloss! And I will almost always have on a cute pair of shoes or flip flops..(shoes always fit, even if you gain 10 pounds!)

My friends will tell you that  I’ll shop all day long for decor items, but I hate to shop for clothes.

Don’t even get me started on stores like Dillards and Macy’s. Lovely stores for most gals. However, I want to run screaming from them within ten seconds of entering. Why can’t they just put all the shirts in ONE area? It’s not a treasure hunt! Girls that can hang here are my heroes.

I share my neurosis with you so that you can see where I’m coming from. I know, it’s very scary!

However,  through sheer necessity I have found a few things recently that I love. In one of the most unusual places.

Remember I told you I was in Oklahoma? Well, I forget to pack a some of my shirts. So I ran to Walmart for a few T’s to get me through.

Instead I found two of the cutest shirts ever. On sale.

So cute! I love the detail on the bottom of this shirt.

Light weight and so comfy.

Washes well.

Cost: on sale for $7.00!

I also found this shirt, which was under $15.00. I only share it with you to show you how perfect these earrings go with it.

earringsThey were under $10. These were purchased on-line long before I found the shirt.

I am in love. Bust duster earrings are back baby! Shades of Bauble Bar without the price.

Cost: $9.95

Like I said I may be the last person to give advice, but I can occasionally find a good deal!

That’s it from the Castle!

Until next time….

  1. Oh my goodness. So cute!! Hold on now…did you find the earrings at Walmart? I tried to order them from Baublebar when they were seriously on sale but I was too late. They have similar ones at Target but they seem to be sold out too. I want them!! Your top is so cute.

You and I were on the same wavelength today. 🙂

    1. I found the earrings on-line a month ago. I’ll go back and try and find them. I was going to look them up yesterday, but after all the computer issues I had I didn’t get it done! I love Baublebar but have to hit them on sale. Yes, we were on the same wavelength today!

  2. Everything you do is wonderful-
in your home and how you dress!
I am going to WalMart looking for those tops.
    Have a wonderful day!

  3. Tammy, I’m like you. Can shop all day for home decor but my clothes shopping definitely goes in spurts. Those tops are so cute. You are a brave girl for admitting you bought them at Walmart. My hat is off to you.

    1. Thanks Carol… as for buying at Walmart there are not many places to shop in my hometown of El Reno OK! lol!

  4. Tammy I am like you. I hate going shopping in places like Macy’s and I never knew why till you said, why do they not keep all the tops in one spot? You hit the nail on the head. That’s why I prefer smaller stores where everything is on one level. Not like Macy’s Herald Square which is 9 floors. Your finds are adorable and something I would definitely wear.

    1. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way about clothes shopping! 9 Floors? I can’t even….

  5. Tammy, I hear you loud and clear. I hate clothes shopping. I used to love it, but now, nope. I have recently discovered Dress Barn and I love their stuff. You found great stuff!!
