Cute Easter Bunny
Can you believe that it’s almost time to start thinking about decorating for Spring and Easter?
Me either!
I recently saw a cute Easter bunny and thought I can make that, so I did.
And then I thought that I should share it with you!
What You Will Need
A block of wood
Scrap Fabric
Acrylic Paints
Paint Brush
Hot Glue and glue gun
Staple gun and staples
And anything else you might want to add as you go along!
I KNOW I’m bad at adding things as I go~!
First things first
I took my 6″ x 2″ x 4″ board and painted it white.
Thats just the size of scrap wood I had, you could use any size.
Set aside to dry.
Paint a small wooden bead.
This will become the nose.
Let’s Make Bunny Ears
I drew a bunny ear onto card stock, cut it out and then used the template to draw onto fabric.
Cut them out.
Putting The Ears Together
Once you have the ears cut out of fabric, take raffia covered wire and glue it onto the outside of the ears.
Adding Ears to the bunny
Next, bend the bottom of the ears and hot glue them to the top of the wooden block.
Then to make sure they are super secure, staple them to the board using a staple gun.
Don’t worry about the messy look we will cover this up later!
Adding The Fun Stuff
I free hand painted the bunny eyes, however if you aren’t the artistic type print some off.
Then using transfer paper, transfer the eye design onto your block of wood.
Cut three strands of twine to your desired length, tape the ends together.
Then feed them through the bead.
Before gluing the nose onto the bunny, add “rosy” cheeks.
Glue on the nose and add a fun bow to the top to cover the messy ears.
Also, not pictured, I took a brown stamp pad and brushed it up onto the edges to distress it a little.
And this is the finished cute Easter bunny.
Super easy and so fun to make!
I loved making it so much I’m thinking of making a few more.
You know – like an Easter bunny family!
Until next time…
