Cute not Creepy

I can’t believe that October is just around the corner. I feel like I just got my pumpkins out and cooler temperatures have barely begun. A few days ago, I pulled out the Halloween decor and started planning where it all would go. All was well, until I got to the kitchen. My pretty little buffalo plaid and orange striped pumpkins make me so happy that the thought of putting them away made me sad. So, I began planning how to keep them. Why couldn’t my kitchen Halloween decor be more fall, less Halloween. Cute not creepy!

Don’t worry, I’ll still keep it a wee bit wicked! Here at the castle we do love our traditional Halloween decor.

In years past, my kitchen had a traditionally Apothecary theme.

Lots of beakers, black cauldrons spilling over with eyeball filled goo, and mad scientist flashing lights.

When I found this super cute essence of black cat whiskers apothecary tin I knew it was the perfect bridge of cute not creepy. Plus, it had the perfect colors to match my pretty pumpkins.

I plan on adding fresh flowers to this sweet tin as the month goes on.

My table place setting is pretty traditional.

Orange placemat, black charger, white plates and a cute sugar skull salad plate.

My second new addition to my cute not creepy table is these cute small bowls.

While not a traditional  halloween design, I love the cute stripes and polk-a-dots.

Plus, they were the perfect size for a small boo pumpkin and some treats!

I did keep my potions and spell sign and my Halloween banners.

For me, my kitchen turned out pretty cute- not creepy.

Like I said, while it is still  a wee bit wicked, I think it also falls under the cute not creepy category.

So, mission accomplished!

Until next time….
