Dollar Tree Valentine’s Sign

You and Me Dollar Tree Sign

Good Fri – yay!  Earlier in the week I made a quick visit to the Dollar Tree. Although quite frankly nothing is just a dollar anymore. Shouldn’t it be the $1.25  – $5.00 Tree? Ha! Anyway, I found quite a few things despite the price increase.  Today I’m sharing a Dollar Tree Valentine’s Sign!

This You and Me sign needed a little work to fit in with my Valentine’s decor style.

Step 1 – Remove the You and Me!

The letters were loosely glued on, however they were easily removed.

A little of the letters backing stayed attached to the sign.

Easily fixed.

I just lightly sanded the leftover backing off of the sign.

Step 2: Decorate the Sign

Next , it was time to decorate the sign.

Measuring the inside of the frame, I cut out a sheet of black and white scrapbook paper that fit  the inside area perfectly.

felt herts

I found some red felt hearts in my craft stash that just shouted out for a little bling.

I glued the hearts to the center of the sign and added some mini white rick rack for a little something extra!

And even though I added a little bling and a few things to make my sign extra, it still needed something!

A bow.

I added a “criss cross” bow.

I think my Dollar Tree Valentine’s sign turned out pretty cute.

Now the You and Me sign matches the rest of my Valentine’s Day decor perfectly.

The best part?

It only cost me a dollar and twenty five cents plus tax, as I had everything else in my craft closet.

That’s a big win in my book!

Until next time….

  1. Tammy, that’s really cute! You just see something and know it could be changed into something better. I wish I could think outside the box like you do.
