Everyday Blue and White Hutch

Hey friends! Welcome. Today I am decorating an everyday blue and white hutch. And when I am done there, I will be giving my table a little fun decor too.

Start At The Top

If you have followed me for long you know I like to start at the top and work to the bottom.

Last year I had blue plates on the wall above my hutch.

I loved the plates, but I was ready for a change.

So I hung a small door horizontally above the hutch then added in decor to the top of the hutch.

On top of starting at the top and working my way down, I also like to start decorating in the middle and working my way out.

In this case I started with a large white platter and started layering white plates, blue salad plates and lots of fun white dish accessories.

Each shelf has the following items:

Blue and white dishes

White dishes or dish accessories

Something blue

Something green or organic.

On top of those items I like adding in a little gold here and there.

Sources

So where did I get everything?

Well, all over the place.

Some were gifts, some from garage sales and thrift stores.

We all know I am on a first name basis with the Amazon drivers….

And of course there is Hobby Lobby!

There were too many sources to share and some I honestly couldn’t.

The Table

Since we eat at this table everyday, the everyday decor is pretty simple.

I started with this beautiful table runner that my sister gave me at Christmas.

So pretty, the photos do not do it justice!

For the centerpiece I started with a long white wooden stand.

On top of that I placed a faux plant, a candle, a few napkins and my salt and pepper shakers.

That’s it!
