Five Minute Centerpiece
Have you ever had a party right after you moved? And if you had that party and realized that you couldn’t find half of you Christmas dining decor what would you do? Normally I would have an over the top, drop dead gorgeous centerpiece before a party. But that was not to be. So, I did what any resourceful woman would do, I threw together a five minute centerpiece. And you know what? I loved it!
I started with a clean, shiny table and added my favorite furry white table runner.
Once that was done, I did some digging in the leftover Christmas boxes. I found these 4 evergreen picks, pinecones, an old truck with a felt Santa driving it, and a few red candle holders.Game on! I took the greenery picks and laid them out on the table like this.
Once my greenery was placed, I rounded up a small string of fairy lights.I wrapped them carefully in the greenery picks, being care to keep the stings as hidden as possible.
I took the old truck that I found and placed it in the middle of the greenery.
There were a few “holes” on the sides of the truck .To hide those I added a couple of pinecone picks on each side of the truck.
To complete my centerpiece, I added two red mercury glass candle holders on either side of the truck. My centerpiece was done. Time? 4 minutes 57 seconds.
Once my centerpiece was done, I set my table. And you know what? I didn’t miss the big, elaborate, time consuming centerpiece that I normally do! Not being able to find my Christmas decor and dishes turned out to to be one happy accident that taught me a valuable lesson!
Until next time….
