Just A Few Things

I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter! Normally, the day after Easter has me putting away the bunnies and starting to work in my garden. However, the weather isn’t co-perating. It’s cold! So, today I’m going to share just a few things with you that I do have going on.

just a few things

tomato plant

Last weekend I did get a few tomato plants in the ground before it started to rain.

I can’t wait for summer tomatoes.

There is nothing better than fresh tomatoes right off of the vine!

clematis

Thank goodness Mother Nature does her thing with no help from me.

The recent rains have helped with the plants for sure.

The clematis are in full bloom.

pond lily

The pond water lilies are going crazy.

The pink lilies aren’t blooming yet. Thats okay. I love the white ones, especially at night.

vinca

Here in Texas we rarely get winters cold enough to kill all of the plants.

It’s a rare winter that I don’t have flowers “over winter”.

I planted this vinca plant last year in a pot on my patio.

Apparently, it is very happy there as it is in full bloom.

So pretty!

geraniums

These geraniums are new this year, but aren’t they a beautiful color?

It is one happy, healthy plant!

floral basket

I did sneak out on the front porch and pull the bunny wreath.

I looked for a spring wreath in the closet and found nothing.

Makes me wonder what I put up last year? How do I not know?

Guess making a new spring door decoration is definitely  in my future!

flower arrangement

Now for the inside.

All of the bunnies and all things Easter are put away.

New spring decor decorates the dining room table.

china hutch

The kitchen hutch is rearranged and sporting just a few things that are new in my white dish collection.

painted flowers

Once I finished decorating, it was time to get my creative hat on.

I found time to paint a sample for an upcoming nursery mural I will be painting.

just a few things

And last, but not least, I changed out my chalkboard.

I really will miss my bunny, but this sign will remind me that it won’t be cold forever.

Spring and warmer weather really is just around the corner.

I just have to believe!

Until next time….

  1. Oh, wow, Tammy! You already have all your bunnies put away?! I guess since our weather still goes from cold & damp to only slightly warm and just a few things blooming, I’m still in bunny mode (that, and I had a really busy week with Panoply shopping and purging last week, hehe). Seriously, though, I can see where the weather really motivates you. It tricked me in late Feb, and now I feel like a sloth because it’s relapsed so. I am looking forward to seeing all the pretty plants like yours are already doing here in my region. The only thing that overwinters for me are my fall to spring pansies. I really love your hutch and chalkboard!

    1. Thanks Rita. I really hated putting the bunnies away… it seemed like I didn’t have them put out for very long at all this year! I’m like you – I feel like such a sloth. All my winter projects are done and I’m ready to get out into the garden. Here’s to hoping we both get out there soon!

  2. Everything is fabulous at your house! We have been so blessed with our weather lately. Even if we get another downpour today (it’s just about to happen here) I won’t complain because at least it’s not a drought!

Your chalkboard is darling! I have a big chalkboard but have no skills with making it cute.

    1. Thank you Stacey! You are so right, I should be thankful that we are not in a drought. Goodness knows in a few months I will be wishing for some rain. I guess I’m just in need of some serious garden time!
