One Room At A Time

One Room At A Time

Today is the final day of our series One Room At A Time.

It’s been a fun filled week full of projects.

Terrie from Decorate and More With Tip and Corine from Junk to Gems and I are all sharing a front porch refresh.

While we are sharing what our porches look like on video, we also thought that you might like to see photos and we would share where we got all of our new things!

I don’t know about you , but I can’t wait to see their front porches!

So be sure to head over there when you are finished here.

Front Door

If you missed Sunday’s video that I shared on how my front porch looked and what my plans were for this week, you can see it here.

Starting at the front door, I replaced the doormat and the rug.

The Wreath is new also and was featured on 10 on the 10th yesterday.

love seat

Patio Furniture

I cleaned all of the patio furniture and their cushions.

Bought some new pillows for the love seat, but decided to keep the pillows that were on the chairs and the rockers from last year.

You can find the new pillows here and here.

The cushions were a purchase from Hobby Lobby last year.

I couldn’t find exactly what I was lookin for to hang above the loveseat, so I shopped the house and found the window and wreath.

I’ll still keep an eye out for the perfect thing to hang here, but this way it looks cute while I’m looking.

rocking chairs

Sitting Area

At the end of the wrap around porch is this little sitting area.

I found the rockers here last year, however they still have them year.

The rug was a fun find.

It’s made of a plastic so it’s really low maintenance and it was under $20!

I painted an old worn out beverage holder and made it into a planter.

Since the flowers are vines and were growing out of control I added this cute topiary form.

The pillows I made last year.

I was planning on replacing them, but once they were washed they looked brand new.

Side Entry

The side entry door got a new door hanger.

Her name is Prissy.

Doesn’t she just scream summer fun?

I’m learning to paint door hangers in a fun on-line class.

Since I added a the new black and white rug, layering a doormat with a rug wasn’t possible.

I found this pretty floral mat here.

That wraps up our One Room At A Time Series.

We so hope that you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have.

Don’t forget to head on over to Terrie’s and Corine’s and see what their front porches look like!

Until next time….

  1. Your wrap around porch looks perfect for Summer with the pretty bright colors and all the bright flowers. Love the window and wreath above the loveseat, maybe with the DIY Chalkboard Challenge coming soon you can make a chalkboard sign to go up there, but I do like the window. I had fun working on our new series

    1. Thank you Terrie! I do love Chalkboards for sure. I have one in my breakfast room that I decorate with the seasons and one in my laundry room. Woo Hoo!

    1. Corine if you are ever down my way, come on by and I’ll have the tea ready. It’s a Mandevilla plant. It’s a tropical I believe. Definitely an annual here.
