Red, Blue and BBQ
Here at the castle we are dining out again. I’ve been sharing quick, easy and no cost outdoor table settings with you this past month. Week 1 had a pretty summer blue, green and white theme. Week 2 had a fun pink flamingo theme. If you missed either of those you can see those here and here. This weeks theme is a red, blue and BBQ table!
Tablesetting
I started off placing a red and white check vintage table cloth on the table.
The tablecloth and napkins came out of an old picnic set I inherited from my great aunt.
Next, I used a navy wicker placemat.
For a little more color I added a charger to to the table that had a blue and white bamboo print.
The placesetting was finished off with a red and white polk a dot plate.
To add a little fun to the mix I thought these french fry holders would be perfect.
Except we don’t always use them to hold french fries.
They are also perfect for fried pickles, tater tots and s’mores.
to make s’mores, just crush up your graham crackers and drop them into the wax paper filler, then place a toasted marshmallow on top with some chocolate chips.
Yummy!
And the best part?
Very little mess.
To roast our marshmallows, everyone gets their own telescope roasting fork.
These are favorites of our littles!
I added vintage napkins that match the tablecloth.
Blue glassware and red silverware placed inside of the french fry holders completes the place setting.
Centerpiece
For a centerpiece I borrowed the white wooden lantern from the outdoor buffet, added a blue garden statue with greenery tucked around it.
For a little color I added fresh flowers from my cutting garden.
This red, blue and BBQ table was super easy to set, took less than 10 minutes and cost me nothing because I used everything I already had.
Now, it’s time to bring on the BBQ!
Until next time…
