Setting a Halloween Table

It’s Halloween time here at the Castle, so today I’m sharing just how easy and fun it is setting a Halloween table!

Not only is it Halloween time here at the castle, it is also Ten on the 10th! You know, where ten fun bloggers get together and share their ideas for under $10.00. So get comfy and enjoy all of the fun!

First up, I truly believe that the easiest way to start decorating for any holiday is by using stuff you already have. With the exception of one thing, I’ve had everything you see on this page for years.

So how do you keep it different and fresh? Mix it up! I try to use what I have in different ways every year. Once I have done this, only then do I decide to buy new things.

This year my new splurge for my kitchen table were these really cute dessert plates from HomeGoods for $9.99.

I can’t tell you how much I truly love them. At first glance you think they are cute, but look a little closer and you will see that they are truly awesome.

Looking at these plates and you quickly realize that they are like a Where’s Waldo  book or a Highlights Find me page.

There are four different, very detailed designs. A haunted house, a witch, a skull and a black cat.

It doesn’t hurt that they have a lacy look about them either!  I feel like the salad plates give the table personality.

Want to know another great thing about my halloween table? It’s super easy make it a fall table. Simply swap out the placemat and the salad plates and it becomes a Fall/ Thanksgiving table!
You gotta love that.

Setting a Halloween table couldn’t be easier.

Until next time….

  1. What a beautiful table, I love those plates. Dessert plates make such a difference don’t they? They’re tiny but pack a real design punch…and for under ten bucks…awesome!

  2. No fair! You have a great black & white table to start your Halloween table!. Jk…but it is an advantage. 😉 Love those cute, new plates. Great chalkboard & pom garland too. I have to stay out of HG or I’d be in big trouble. Me and dishes? Like magnets….

  3. Tammy, you’ve convinced me that I need to get a set of solid white plates! Those Halloween salad plates are so darling mixed and matched with the white dishes and other good things on your table. This is fun and festive! Love what you did to the chalkboard too. 🙂
