Sugar Skull Halloween Table
My sugar skull Halloween table is so much fun!
It’s bright, colorful and totally different from anything that I have ever done before. Don’t get me wrong, that’s not a bad thing. Right?
I started the Halloween table with a mercury glass pumpkin. My plan was to go with lots of shiny silver, black skeleton dishes and spider web placemats.
Then I found sugar skull fat quarters on the quilting isle at the fabric store and all of those plans went out the window. I loved how colorful that material was and knew that it would make awesome napkins.
Not only did the material make awesome napkins, they matched my new skeleton plates. I feel like it was meant to be.
At first, each place setting had a lime green placemat, a black charger, an orange Fiesta plate, all topped with the skeleton plate. But, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to mix it up a little more. Have some fun with the place settings.
Now, each place setting is different, as well as the same. Each has a different color placemat and plate.
The charger and the skeleton plate stayed the same.
I found these sugar skull flowers at Michaels. They matched the colors in the napkins perfectly! They already had a sticky foam piece on the back so I simply stuck them to silver napkin rings.
The mercury glass pumpkin is the perfect size for a centerpiece. I placed it on a silver tray. Wrapped some black feathers around it, and added some fresh flowers out of my garden that look a little like that flowers on the napkin rings.
Different colored silverware and some fun glassware finish off my sugar skull Halloween table.
Putting together this table was probably one of the easiest ones I have ever done. It is certainly the most fun and colorful!
It certainly is a theme that I would never have dreamed of doing – until now. Halloween is such a fun holiday, why not have fun with your decorating? I know that in the future I will certainly have a more open mind about new and fun themes!
Love your table my friend. It must of been so much fun created this. Love it!
