Summer blue and green placesetting

Many evenings in the Summer we like to dine Alfresco. It occurred to me recently that this is the perfect time to make my table a little something extra. A Happy place to dine. So for the next few Fridays I will be sharing my outdoor tables with you. Today I’m sharing my Summer blue and green table.

Before I go any further, let me be perfectly clear.

I’m talking about setting a pretty, colorful table in under 10 minutes.

Not a lot of planning or thought goes into it.

Just grabbing what you have around the house and creating a fun place for you and your family to eat.

Step 1

Grab a colorful placemat, a plate and some flatware.

This blue melamine plate is so pretty and perfect for the patio.

A bright green placemat really makes the plate stand out.

The flatware is a cheap set that I bought almost 20 years ago.

It’s not that great, but I love the colorful handles!

Step 2

Add a fun napkin and napkin ring.

Your napkin doesn’t have to be a cloth one, you could also use paper napkins.

I’ve seen some really gorgeous paper ones recently that I love.

And it sure makes clean up easier!

This white linen pom napkin really helps show off the pom pom napkin ring.

Whether you use paper or cloth, make it fun!

Step 3

Don’t forget to add fun and colorful glassware.

Here I’ve mixed a plastic water glass with a glass margarita glass.

Both glasses are colorful and fun, but are also super functional.

The water glass can also hold tea, lemonade or soda.

The Margarita glass can serve margaritas as well as fun summer desserts!

Step 4

Add a fun centerpiece.

This white lantern was already on the table.

I plan to add a citronella candle inside to help keep the mossies away.

The blue vases were super easy to fill up with water and add a few flowers  cut from my garden.

A centerpiece doesn’t get much easier than this one!

Please visit again next week, I’ve got a super fun table to share with you.
