The Week I Lost My Mojo

This is the week I lost my mojo. What? Even golfers get the yips. Or is that baseball players? Years ago tennis player Andy Roddick lost his. I know this because I saw the commercials of Andy missing the ball and bumping through life.

What exactly is Mojo? Wikipedia defines it as a magic charm. If I ever had a “magic charm”, I’ve certainly lost mine! Don’t get me wrong, I got a lot done this week. Just not that many things that I would call sharing worthy. Ever had one of those weeks? All I can say was the week started off well and then took a different direction.

The week started off celebrating Memorial Day.

It was a fun packed weekend.

We helped celebrate a neighbors high school graduation.

I met the girls to catch up.

The Hubs and I went to a fantastic plant nursery and came home with a ton of plants.

The patio just needed a little sprucing up.

We ate BBQ with the family.

Which I always love!

Family, food and fun.

I even found a little time to float in the pool.

letters

Tuesday found me in a holiday weekend food hangover.

I was like a sloth on Xanax.

However, I managed to start painting these sweet letters that a client needed for a baby shower.

At this point, I know that you are wondering how this was the week I lost my mojo.

Right?

Well, this is where my mojo jumped the train and went to Vegas.

Remember the guest bathroom mini makeover?

I’ve been looking for artwork for the guest bathroom.

I searched high and low and came up empty.

Until I found this print at Hobby Lobby.

Since the bathroom is black and white, I wanted to introduce some pops of color.

This one was perfect.

The week I lost my mojo

Now, this is where I lost my mojo.

It looked so much better in my head.

More fun, funky shabby chic, less teenage girl angst.

Just NO!

The middle flower reminds me of Phyllis Diller’s hat.

Showing my age?

Okay, visualize this.

Camilla Parker Boles hat at Meghan and Harry’s wedding.

See? This really is the week I lost my mojo.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not too worried because we all know it will be back.

Right?

Fingers crossed.

Until next time….

    1. Thanks Stacey. I took Phyllis Diller’s hat back and went back to a blank wall. It may stay that way awhile! lol!

    1. Cindy, I’m so glad someone remembers Phyllis Diller! I do love the color also, something about those colors makes me happy.
