The Week That Was

This is the story about the week that was. I certainly hope that it’s over anyway! I hate to complain because all of our issues, for the most part, were first world problems.

Thanksgiving table

Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t all bad. I did have quite a few pick me ups to get me over the less than fun parts for sure!

So here’s how the week has played out so far.

In case you missed it, on Monday the igniter on my cooktop shorted out and caught on fire.

After having a heart attack, The Hubs and I quickly found a new one and he was able to install it the same afternoon.

In less than two years, we have now replaced all of the appliances in our kitchen.

Next up, Tuesday.

It was a beautiful day, so The Hubs decided to go golfing.

Now, here’s where it gets weird.

No glass on the golf course, so he was drinking out of a can.

He was taking his last drink out of said can, when he noticed that he had something “solid” in his mouth along with liquid.

It was a bee!

Thank goodness he wasn’t allergic, as he was stung on the inside of his upper lip.

After a very painful day and a half, he is doing well.

We can laugh about it, NOW…

The Week That Was

Wednesday was cold and rainy, so I decided to take down the inside Halloween decor.

I also found time to start working on my Thanksgiving table and do a little fall decor.

The Week That Was

I decided to use three of my favorite things, these napkins, my turquoise glassware and my velvet pumpkins.

I’m not done yet, I still need to tweak it a bit, however I’m loving it so far.

The Hubs truck was due for maintenance, so I braved the weather to pick him up.

We did a little shopping and found this great deal!

If you are like me and need to replace your 1980’s crock pot, Costco has this one for a steal!

Beep

Thursday came and this made my week so much better, my sister sent me this picture of Beep!

You can’t see them, but her hair is just long enough to put into pig tails.

It reminds me of the little girl, Boo, in Monster’s Inc.

So. Stinking. Cute!

Tonight we plan on watching our Godchild/ Niece at her senior night band performance.

See? The week that was, wasn’t all bad.

Although, I think I’m praying for next week to be much less eventful!

Until next time….

  1. Girl, back to the post of the cooktop fire…..I’m still waiting to hear how two dust ruffles turned into a new bed, lol! Ohmygosh, yes, first world problems, but problems nonetheless. I feel ya. I’ve had my own share lately. BP is rising, I can feel it.
Have a good weekend. The tablescape looks good!

    1. Rita I hope that you have a wonderful weekend. Get that BP down and stress free! I’ve been looking for a different bed for awhile. The dust ruffle was just a good excuse!
