Lovin’ Up On My Besties

Lovin' Up on my besties

We are certainly living in uncertain times right now. So what better time to let those around you know how much they mean to you? Intentionally celebrate  them every day. That’s why today I’m sharing how I’m Lovin’ up on my besties!

I would love to say that this is a new concept, however I got this idea from Brittany Young, The original Certified Celebrator!

This girl is truly the happiest person on the planet. She truly encourages you to intentionally celebrate the people in your life and build joyfully celebrated homes. In todays world, you gotta love that!

freezer gel tumbler

All of Brittany’s projects are just the cutest ever!

A little sprinkle, a little glitter, a bow here or there.

The girl speaks my language!

So today on a grocery run, I spied the cutest little acrylic ball tumblers.

Party balls!

They are colorful, a fun size and they are filled with freezer gel to help keep your drink ice cold while you’re sitting outside enjoying the sun.

Or in this case, it will keep our beverages cold while we all get together via Zoom this week.

Since there are 8 of my besties, aka The Queens, I had to decide what colors to pick up. There were 4 colors, hot pink, blue, green and orange. So I bought two colors of each. Once I got them home I couldn’t wait to embellish them just a little bit.

Come on! You knew I wasn’t going to leave them plain….

flower patterned vinyl

Since I love my name or a good monogram on just about everything, I decided to go with the names this time. I had this fun vinyl with all the colors of the tumblers, plus a few more, and knew it would be a subtle, yet fun, embellishment. I found a fun font, LW Dazzle, and cut out all of the Queens names to fit on the tumbler.

Once I had the vinyl names put on each tumbler, I added a fun bow to the top of each tumbler.

I have to say, that they are pure eye candy. All of that color…I’ll probably add a cute little gift tag to each tumbler, letting my besties know just how special they are. My plan is to do a drive-by and drop these tumblers off.

Front Porch Delivery!

Then send them a quick little text to check out the front porch.

I’ve had so much fun with this that I’m thinking this will be the year of celebrating friends, family and neighbors. It occurred to me that there are a thousand little things that I could do that hopefully would make someone smile. Seriously, lovin’ up on my besties couldn’t be more fun. I hope that they love these little glasses as much as I love them!

Until next time….

Christmas is 4 days away and I’m happy to say that I’m done shopping and decorating.  It’s time to sit back and enjoy the fun. However, I realize that not all of you may be finished with your shopping. For those of you with a little more shopping to do I have a few last minute deals and steals to share with you. And I found them all at Hobby Lobby.

I ran into Hobby Lobby to grab one more roll of wrapping paper and found a ton of things. All on sale.It all started with this pom pom garland. So cute!

pom pom and bottle brush trees

If you’ve been following along the past few months you might remember that I these pom pom and bottle brush trees were some of my first new Christmas purchases. When I saw the pom pom garland I knew it was a match made in heaven. The garland was definitely going home with me.Oh, did I mention that all Christmas decor is 66% off?

I had no more put the garland in my basket, turned to the next isle and found these! The bottle brush tree napkin rings and these cute tree napkins.Well of course, at 50% off, they were meant to be!

mini christmas ornaments

When I found the napkin rings they were a little plain. These mini ornaments were the perfect tree topper. Also 66% off.

The next few items I wanted to take home, but sadly didn’t.I’m still trying to find room for a ton of things in our down size move.

And these gold utensils! Which were surprisingly of pretty good quality.

towels and napkins

I feel in love with these black and white tassel napkins.I mean, honestly, you could use these year round. However, I have some very similar black and white ones already….So at the store they stayed! All tableware and linens were 50% off!

Fall In A Jar

Ten on the 10th

It’s Ten on the 10th! I look forward to this day every month because we usually have ten or more super talented women get together and share super cute ideas for under $10.00! This month we are shy of ten because #life. Since September is the beginning of the fall season, I decided to share fall in a jar with you.

Before I go any further, I want to thank Patti from Pandora’s Box for hosting this month!

Our theme this month is upcyled or recycled.

Ball mason jar

So many things came to mind, however my procrastination reared it’s ugly head and eliminated a lot of things due to time.

I have a closet full of things that I have rescued, pulled out of the trash, or bought at a garage sale.

When I began sorting through my junk I found a ton of Ball mason jars.

Clearly they needed to be used!

tapped mason jar

I decided to make cute little peek-a-boo jars to give out as happy fall gifts to a few neighbors and friends!

These are super easy to make.

Cut out a vinyl maple leaf, then placed it onto the jar.

Then tape off the areas that you do not want to paint.

spray painted jar

Step 2:

Next, spray paint your jar.

Make sure to do two or three light coats in order to avoid having runs.

painted mason jar

Step 3:

Once the paint has thoroughly dried, remove the tape and vinyl from the jar.

painted mason jar

This is what your peek-a- boo jar should look like at this point.

burlap, lid and spray adhesive

Step 4:

The plain silver lid looked a little too plain for me.

I cut out a circle from some burlap ribbon I had on hand and mounted it onto the lid using spray adhesive.

Burlap lid on jar

Step 5:

Add cute ribbon and your peek-a-boo jar is finished!

painted jar vignette

Now the the jars are finished you must be wondering what I plan to put in the jars.

Well, I have to admit I had several things in mind.

Maybe a small flicker votive in one to create a nice warm fall look?

Cashews and candy corn

However, I went in a different direction.

I mixed half cashews and half candy corn for a wonderful treat that tastes like a Payday candy bar!

Most people use peanuts, but we like the taste of cashews better here at the castle.

candy corn and cashews

I think these jars filled with a sweet fall treat would be a perfect gift to welcome in fall!

Fall in a jar

How much did these jars cost?

The jars, ribbon, spray paint, vinyl and tape were all things that I had in my stash.

The candy and nuts cost $1.66 per jar.

Fall in a jar y’all!

Now please join me in visiting my fellow Ten on the 10th ladies!

I can’t believe the holidays are just around the corner!  With that in mind, I’m trying to stay ahead of the game by getting as many of the little things done as possible. Although, I’m pretty sure I’ll forget something! While at my grocery store today, I found some really cute items that would not only be great gifts, but wonderful hostess gifts for the holidays! So I thought that I would share them with you.

Some of the items are a little more expensive, like these reindeer, however most are so reasonable priced you’ll be tempted to buy quite a few of them to gift to your favorite people.

Things I Love

Fragrant Candle 8

Every once in awhile you come across something that you love, can’t live without or is just plain fun. Instead of keeping all of these fun things to myself I’ve decided to share them with you my peeps! I do this not because I am the wonderful, sharing person that I am, but because I love you and want you to experience all of the goodness of the things I love!

You’re welcome!

fragrant candle 7

Every Christmas the Queens exchange gifts. This year my bestie, Rox, and I went together and bought gifts. Rox came up with this super fun gift idea – a Fragrant Jewels Candle.  (not getting paid to show you this lovely candle, just so ya know!) This is not only a fragrant candle for your home, BUT inside of each candle is a ring that values from $10.00 – $10,000! Woo Hoo!  The candles cost about $25.00 and you get to choose your scent and the size of the ring in the candle.

fragrant candle 6

As you can see the ring is buried in the candle behind this gold dot. Thank goodness the ring isn’t at the bottom of the candle! Can you imagine having to wait until you burned the entire candle to get to the ring? ha! No way!

Fragrant jewels 2

All you do is light the candle and enjoy the fragrance. And wait. And wait! It took me a couple of days of burning the candle about two to three hours to get it down to where I could get to the ring. I know! I am an impatient girl…

fragrant candle

I fished it out with tweezers as you have to pull it out while the wax is still pretty warm.  NOTE:  Don’t hit the burnt wick.. it leaves ugly black pieces everywhere. Guess my enthusiasm got the better of me!

frangrant candle 1The ring was in a small plastic ziplock bag that was wrapped in foil.  On the ring is a tag that has the site address and code for you to go to and check out just how much your ring is worth.

fragrant candle 2

Once at the site, you just type in the code that was on your ring tag…

fragrant candle 3

And up pops your jewels worth!

fragrant candles 4

Here is my ring! pretty…. Yikes! My hands look really dehydrated here.. Must. Drink. More. Water!

fragrant candle 7

The fun of this gift was the anticipation… what would it look like? How much would it be worth?  What did everyone else get?

I chose the lemon drop scent. I love Lemon Verbena , however I will say that this scent was more lemon pledge than lemon verbena.  Not bad, just not what I expected.

Overall – I loved this product just because it was fun!  Don’t we all need a little more fun in our lives?

Until next time…..
